Ok, ok, you win! (= From a distance it looks quite pretty. Maybe it even looks nice on the bridge if you're there when the masses of tourists aren't. I wouldn't know. Although you said both bridges were just as crowded because of when you went, it's hard for me to imagine the Charles Bridge as crowded as the Rialto Bridge, since there is so much more space and it isn't The Way to get from one side of the city to the other. Plus I liked the statues on the Charles Bridge, and there were other spots in Venice that impressed me so much more than the Rialto did.
I just got back from living in Germany for ten years. I'm separated from my husband now, but praying for restoration. We have two sons, one in college at Full Sail in Florida, the other in Middle School. I'm the author of sonderbooks.com, a website of book reviews. I just got a job at a library here in Virginia, and I'm working on my Master's in Library Science via the online course at Drexel University. (I love it!) I'm also an aspiring author, so blogging seems a natural way to broadcast my writing and my photography, while keeping in touch with my friends.
